What is Root in Android??

Many android users root their phone and then customize their android phones. So, in this blog I will tell you about Rooting android phone and its uses and disadvantages.

Android is a open source and anyone can access it and make customization in it. To Root android mobile we need to turn on USB Debugging in developer section in settings. You would know how to turn on developer setting. Then have to download the application named Kingroot or by using your windows computer download the software named Kingoroot. This root applications you will not get on Google Playstore because Google doesn't allow rooting. You can download from your browser and install it. after installing the android application open it and your internet connection should be turned on because it needs to download utilities from web for your android phone. Then after that click the root button and then it will start to root. After some time your phone will get root. By using PC, after installing the software you have to connect your phone to PC using data cable. After that turn on the software and follow the given steps. In PC also you need to be connected to internet.








After Rooting your device you and access you phones root permissions. Means that you can install any rooted application on your device and can customize your android phone. Using Rooted apps and also can change your status bar option and Icon styles.

By rooting a android  phone customization can do to it and Google allows this customization because Google has made android open source. Many companies or developers made customization in Google;s android versions. If Google has launched the Pie version then developers customize it and avail it for all android users. For installing this Roms user needs to install first TWRP recovery in their phone and have to first unlock the Bootloader on their phones. For unlocking bootloader you can see the videos on youtube, it provide many suggestions. After that you can download the Custom Roms which are available for your phone and gapps(Google Apps) for that version of android. Then you can boot it using TWRP recovery.


TWRP help for booting the custom Rom in android. Arter installing TWRP you can go to it by turning off your phone and then press all three buttons of your phone and TWRP will start. In it you have to go to first Backup section and have to backup the older version as well as firmware. It will help you for Reinstalling the older form of your phone. Then you have to come to wipe section and then wipe all the data except your partition in which the custom roms and gapps are stored. Then go to install section and install first the custom rom and after it install gappps. When installed then you will see a reboot button there and can reboot your phone. After rebooting you will see the new version in your android phone. And can use the phone with full of customization.




Disadvantage:- While installing your custom Rom if it has any malware or not the stable version then your phone can bricked. Means that your phone will not start and it will turned off. And will not start.
But if you have to start it then you have to download the stock firmware of your phone or have to Restore your older version of phone by restore option in TWRP section and the file which was backuped while backuping in TWRP then install that and reuse your phone like older one or can retry for another custom rom.
